Bottom-Line Design Services
Everything in life is created. It can be a pile of dirt, or a beautiful garden. A stick figure or a work of art and beauty. A verse from the Bible or a Spiritual Feast with context, artwork and deep meaning. Everyone came here with at least one gift (talent) from God, most have been blessed with many gifts. When I say “Design Services at Every Level of Life!” I see and try to create design, beauty, in anything I do, everything I do.
As VP of Operations at Flax Artist Materials for 13 years, I had the responsibility when we moved to a new location, to design and build a new warehouse for 140, 000 items. Now you’d think, that’s just a lot of shelving, bin boxes, and hand trucks. And yes, that is true, but creating organization, flow, making sense out of where each item goes, and how it can be best stored, can be a thing of beauty. For me, it was, is.
Design is in everything I do because it is a part of me. I love creating things of beauty. I am not an artist, though I would like to have been. But there is art in so many things. I write custom reports for Sage 100 Contractor software Clients. I create design in every report, so that the report is a document that pleases your senses with proper flow, so your eye instinctively know s where to go for the key information, and added color to separate groups’ of data so it is easy to find what you need. Yes, a Balance Sheet can be a thing of beauty. Ask any CPA, although I think their “beauty” is in the numbers more than the concept of the page.
Bottom-Line Design Services provides many different areas, not only in the custom reports, but in spiritual items like Scriptural Thoughts for the Day, Bookmarks, Greeting Cards, and the weekly Sunday Church service program and event flyers I do, and even Landscaping and Construction. I love “Design” and it touches a part of my soul when I am able to create something useful, and used, and needed, and a thing of beauty.
The other more important part of my life is my family, and watching each of them, my wife, sons and daughters (7), and grandchildren (16), grow into works of art themselves. I know I can’t take much credit for that, but I can enjoy seeing them blossom, and grow into fine, wonderful individuals of confidence, trust, and capabilities that far exceed anything I could have dreamed for each of them.
And now, even beyond the family, is knowing a loving Father in Heaven, and a Savior, Jesus Christ, who watches over each of us, and wants the best for us, and helps us each day along the path of life. Knowing without a doubt that there is life beyond this earth, and looking forward when someday, I will be with all my loved ones who have gone on before.
So, YES, “Design Services at Every Level of Life!”
